I met Terry 6 years ago when I started doing his shopping for him due to the Covid pandemic. In all the years of shopping for Terry he never once requested a piece of fruit or veg. He definitely should have had shares in Lotus biscuits!

He always had a lovely welcoming smile and shining eyes. He had a great sense of humour and loved to be with other people, always out and about and stopping for a catch up.

Terry was an avid supporter of the local community. He did a lot of work for ‘The Lyon’s’ and would wander on a daily basis down to ‘The Note’ for his signature toastie and hot chocolate, and of course to chat to all the ladies.

I enjoyed playing golf with Terry a few times before he broke his arm. We had a great time and he was a very competent golfer. It’s such a shame we didn’t get the chance to play again.

I am privileged to have known Terry and will miss him very much.
